Dental Staff

Dr. Keene began his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He was awarded a lifetime membership in the Beta Beta Beta National Honor Society.

Dr. Keene graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 1983. He has maintained a career long membership with the Academy of General Dentistry and was awarded a Fellowship in exceptional pursuit of continuing education.

Throughout his career, Dr. Keene has maintained a passion for all aspects of dentistry with special emphasis on restoration and cosmetics. He has also had a very special interest in caring for the dental complications of patients with cancer and works closely with MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Keene has been awarded Houstonia Magazine’s Top Dentists Award since 2017.

Dr. Keene is married and has two daughters. He has enjoyed coaching soccer and basketball and has spent many hours on a pool deck officiating swim meets. In his free time, Dr. Keene enjoys playing tennis, cycling, fishing and spending time with his family!

Brooke is originally from St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been with the office since December of 2009. Her current role is that of front office manager. She loves working with patients and helping them with all of their dental needs.

She currently lives in Kingwood with her husband and son and their animals. In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling, cooking, and finding new ways to exercise.

Brenda is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She has been with the office for 19 years. Brenda began her dental career over 20 years ago as a registered dental assistant. She is now an office manager bilingual in Spanish and English. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients.

In her spare time, Brenda enjoys interior design and watching sports. Brenda has three children and recently welcomed a new grandbaby to the family.

Lidia is originally from Mission, South Texas and has lived in Houston since 1979. She has been Dr. Keene’s assistant for 30 years and is bilingual in Spanish and English. She loves getting to know her patients and building long term relationships.

Lidia enjoys cooking, fishing, gardening, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Cathy began her dental career as an assistant in Baumholder, Germany in 1987 working for the U.S. Army. After completing her Dental Hygiene degree, she continued working for the US Army following her husband to several military assignments. Upon her husband's military retirement after 20 years, she started working for Dr. Keene in her hometown of Houston, Texas. 

Her main focus is providing quality care for all of her patients and educating them on how to maintain their oral health. She enjoys connecting with her patients and getting to know them and their families. Cathy enjoys dinners with friends and family, sewing, and traveling with her husband. She is an active member of the Houston Dental Hygiene Association.

Ashley is originally from Utah but has lived in Houston for almost 10 years. She graduated from Utah College of Dental Hygiene with her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. She enjoys educating her patients and making them feel comfortable. 

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, exercising, cooking and spending time with her goldendoodle, Donald.

Athena was born in the Philippines and raised in Uvalde, TX. After graduating from Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, Athena continued her education at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, receiving her bachelor's in dental hygiene. 

One of her favorite things about dental hygiene is making connections with her patients.
